Well, my 6 years is not until July 1 so you are blabbier than me!!!
Hubby and I were talking about tying quilts just this past week! How funny, and I come over here and you are doing one. I will go back and read the other comments to see what others say too.
You are so brave doing it, but I think it is perfect for the corduroy.

And you mentioned 'cleaning the sewing studio'……..sigh…….why?
ha!Browndirtcottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12259939643695340109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222428963656542447.post-34777985212980500982014-02-13T17:48:15.685-08:002014-02-13T17:48:15.685-08:00Happy Blogiversary!Happy Blogiversary!Purple Pamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09614300010193583324noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222428963656542447.post-9712492368874377882014-02-13T09:15:27.900-08:002014-02-13T09:15:27.900-08:00yay! love the corduroy quilt. the ties really make...yay! love the corduroy quilt. the ties really make a statement long like that. I've never used perle, but embroidery floss ties always come undone on me, even with the surgeons' knot. Maybe perle won't do that. I'd worry more about the knot than the ends. eek, snow!Tonya Ricuccihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10778059489713831067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222428963656542447.post-42536405612180169232014-02-12T05:00:53.124-08:002014-02-12T05:00:53.124-08:00Wow, 6 years! Congrats on your blogerversary. I used to tie my quilts in my early years of quilting (nearly 35 years ago). I always used cotton floss to tie them. The stitch stays in because you backstitch and then make the ties, but you are right, after use and washings the ties work their way loose and sometimes untie and the ends become frayed. However, only recently I have made repairs to one of my tied quilts because I use it at christmas time on my table so it get a lot of use. ;o)Sandy's Quilter's Blockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06251717978852644604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2222428963656542447.post-38053186296765646642014-02-09T18:08:16.630-08:002014-02-09T18:08:16.630-08:00What? Mama raccoon would bring the babies and all 4 of them would climb into the feeders. Too funny but not when the would wake me up.

Congrats on your Blogiversary. Wow 6 years. I was wondering recently about tying with perle cotton, it's great you asked the question. How fun that your garden visitors leave their tracks. I hope the raccoon leave a few bulbs to bloom in spring. Have fun tidying your sewing room, sometimes it can be so tedius but you know its always so much better when it's done. It's all supposed to be fun so let the fun wait until you are ready for it! I was in WA last weekend. It was a nice change from the Midwest deep freeze but still pretty cold for you who live there. And snow too? Stay warm!Linda at Roscoe's Mahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08018338526858461422noreply@blogger.com
